Gwynfryn House is a beautifully restored Grade II listed Victorian house set in the heart of Llanbedr village, beside the River Artro in the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. Sympathetically renovated to preserve its original character whilst offering every modern comfort, it's an extraordinary base for groups of up to ten.
From the moment you arrive, the house rewards you — a generous kitchen-diner for lazy breakfasts, a formal dining room perfect for dinner parties with the woodburning stove alight, a sitting room with an open fire, and a rear patio with a barbecue for summer evenings under the Snowdonia sky.
Upstairs, five individually styled bedrooms offer a mix of king, double and twin configurations — four thoughtfully arranged to give everyone their own space. Three well-appointed bathrooms serve the house comfortably throughout.
The village of Llanbedr sits just outside your door, with a pub five minutes' walk and the beaches of Cardigan Bay within easy reach. This is a house that works in every season — roaring fires in winter, mountain air and beaches in summer.

Llanbedr is one of those rare North Wales villages that feels genuinely undiscovered — nestled between the Rhinog mountains and the golden beaches of Cardigan Bay, with everything you need within easy reach.
Absolutely stunning house. The character is unlike anything we've stayed in — original features everywhere, woodburner roaring, and the village pub a five-minute stroll. We'll be back.
Ten of us and everyone had space to breathe. Brilliant base for the Rhinogs and Harlech beach. The kitchen is genuinely well-equipped and the dining room made it feel like a proper house party.
We used it for a 50th birthday weekend. The house looks exactly like the photos — actually better in person. Location is ideal: peaceful but with everything on your doorstep.
A winter stay here with the fires burning is something else entirely. Snowdonia in February is dramatic and the house just works for a cosy, atmospheric escape. Highly recommended.
